THE
I hope that by now you will have received the new Highlines……and read it ! Congratulations go out to Christine who has designed and edited this edition. It’s really worth a look.
There have been many positive comments about the style and format…it’s definitely come to stay. One marginally negative comment from a few members concerns the small size of some text. Your choice here is either to print it off (I have done, it reads fine,…. and I rather like to carry it with me and show it off), or to enlarge/zoom-in on screen. I know that Christine will take these comments in hand when the next issue arrives by email or post in early May.
Meanwhile, if you would like to contribute, send your text/articles to Christine by let’s say 25th April at the latest. Keep the articles shortish, kite related, if you can please, and photographs are obviously accepted if the first issue is anything to go by.
With the email system now firmly in place, at least for the majority of members, Highlines can now be used to keep you really well informed about what is going on….and at a much reduced cost than that of Royal Mailing, together with printing, to all members. Remember, emails are a two way thing, so let’s hear from you. I look at my email daily and have even been known to access it whilst away at friends or relatives….I draw the line at using internet cafes!…………..and Christine will be waiting to receive your "input" (I hate that word).
Highlines is the GOKF voice,
