THE LEAGUE IS BEING RESTED FOR 2010
This activity is solely for an individual to improve his/hers skills with sport kite flying, The challenge is taken in a jovial manner, OK someone ends up with a shield for a year but that is a reflection of the amount of development the recipient has made, no hassle!
There are three figures for each round to be practiced. As with all rounds, a fourth figure will be revealed on the day. White arrows are entry, Black arrows the exit. The window for each figure is dissected at a vertical position of 50% hight and a horizontal position of centre of field, The figure should be executed in the airspace it is drawn in. These figures plus the forth are drawn on a blackboard that is placed in view of all pilots.
Marks are awarded for precision of execution. the linking of one figure to the next and the final exit and landing of your kite.
Marks are lost if the kite comes to the ground at any time or if a figure is missed.
There are three judges for each round, usually drawn from non competing members. The order for competing is drawn from a bag of numbers by each pilot prior to the challenge taking place. At our AGM in November the person at the top of the league is awarded the challenge shield to be held for the following year.
